matariki word cloud

We are learning to present our thinking and ideas in a range of ways.
Context: Matariki
We will have been successful when we have gathered our vocabulary around Matariki and presented it in a word cloud on our learning blog.

We went to abcya.com to build our word clouds.Screenshot 2017-07-04 at 9.38.28 AM.png

marae poem

MY MARAE POEM

Woke up at the marae
Bursted out a foggy yarn
Everyone sleeping
As tired as a big bear hibernating
I hear bears outside
Don’t worry just my belly
Sit in my sleeping bag
Waiting for everyone to get up
The sun is a sloth on fire
as it slowly rises up

TOKU RURI MARAE

Ara ake i te marae h
Bursted i te miro kohu
moe te tangata
Ka rite ki ngenge rite te pea Moehōtoke nui
rongo ahau pea Baer waho
Kaua e manukanuka tika toku kopu
Noho i roto i toku peke moe
Tatari hoki te katoa ki te tiki ake
Ko te ra ko te momo poturi ki te ahi
rite reira āta whakatika ake
